How to unlock the Cobra Kai Wiki achievement in Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues - Definitive Guide
Collectibles come in three forms - a flyer for Cobra Kai dojo, a framed picture, or a bonsai tree (Miyagi-Do logo). There are 99 total collectibles in the game, 18 of which are dojo specific (9 for Cobra Kai, 9 for Miyagi-Do). If you are diligent on picking these up when you find them and you haven't hit S rank on any level, you should be right at 60 collectibles found before starting the Valley Fest level. If you go back to get S rank on every level, then finish the Valley Fest level with all three found collectibles and an S rank, you can get this achievement as you close out your first dojo playthrough.
Each level has one collectible that is tied to getting an S rank score. Scoring is based on performance in each zone within the level. The better you do on getting and maintaining high Combo Meter grades in each zone, the higher your score for each zone will be at level's end. Most shorter street levels will only have one or two zones, where as longer story levels will have six or seven zones.
As you play through the first through levels, you'll be lucky to get anything higher than a C+ or B on the overall level. I suggest you play through normally until you have unlocked all four characters and with all four base level Personal Skills purchased for each character as well as all four base Dojo Skills purchased. This will at least give you a fighting chance to maintain longer combos and keep big groups of enemies at bay to avoid getting clobbered.
As you play, you are graded from D to NM for each zone in a level:
- D > 1500
- C > 3000
- B > 6000
- A > 8000
- NM > 9000
In addition, every level has six "Cool Feats" that you can use to supplement your score. Cool Feats points are awards for finishing enemies in specific ways, keeping your team alive and at full health, and not using food items. I recommend trying to max out each of these categories on your S rank runs to cover any missteps you might have while playing through the level.
- Environmentals > 500 points each, maximum 2500 points (Press near a green flashing background object, a success should trigger a short slow motion cut scene)
- Ground Eliminations > 500 points each, max 2500 (With your enemy laying flat, stand at their torso, press to get on top of them, then repeatedly press for a four hit combo; you must finish the enemy with one of the hits in this combo for it to count as a ground elimination)
- Ultimate Eliminations > 500 points each, max 2500 (Charge your Ultimate skill by attacking enemies; keeping Combo Meters high and using Environmentals charge it faster. Once charged press + together to unleash a massive attack. You will want to familiarize yourself with each character's Ultimate attack as positioning for best effects will vary by character)
- Characters Alive > 1000 points each, max 4000 (Just keep everyone alive to get the max score here. Time did not appear to factor too heavily into zone grading, so take a moment after tougher sections to assess your team's health. If a team member does fall, any Combo Meter of B or above will revive your fallen teammates at half their full health)
- Full Health > 1000 points each, max 4000 (I was able to get 3/4 on most levels by focusing on using just one character. When you get hit, you will see a smaller red bar sticking out from your regular health bar. This is the amount of health you can regenerate if you don't take another hit, so you can get some of it back if you stay on the move and avoid enemies. You also get health back when a Combo Meter times out - this doesn't count if an enemy hits you and ends your combo early. You can also use food items but this will negate your No Food bonus. Lastly, if you're attempting this as Miyagi-Do, Daniel's Personal Parry Skill (+) will heal about an eighth of your life per "cast", so you can simply wait in one location and reuse this Skill over and over until he's at full health)
- No Food > 3000 points (This is strictly binary - you either get it or you don't. I found that unless I did really poorly on multiple zones in the level, the No Food bonus didn't really affect my ability to get an overall S rank. If you're getting the majority of points on the rest of the Cool Feat categories, you don't have to sweat getting these)
Getting S rank on a level also unlocks either a new headband or gi powerup. These power ups drop at random with a cause (gi) and effect (headband) type mechanic that give you extra power, speed, increase coin drop rates, regenerate health, and so on. Good luck!
