How to unlock the Granite Newbie achievement in Crystal Clash - Definitive Guide

Super easy as soon as you start the game. Click on Play and head over to the Golem Challenge. It is a simple one lane fight against the AI. The best part is you are really only focused with taking down the towers once along the way to the base. So even if you lose a tower because of a wave the AI will not be able to get a new tower.

There is really only two things to pay attention to in this game mode which are the two timer in the middle at the top of screen. The one on the left is the time until the AI sends a wave of enemies towards your base and then the timer on the right is how long you have to beat the challenge in.

The timer on the right starts off at eight minutes and every tower that is destroyed adds to that timer giving you more time on the clock to beat the challenge. For the Stone and Copper challenge you only need a few cards and very little strategies to win.

For stone you really only need the Cauldron Spawner, Surge of Light, and Stone Weavers to win. Any variation of archers (I myself prefer the Skelton Archers as they stack bleed effects when they attack) will work for stone and copper. Other fancy cards that are pretty helpful but not needed are the Crystal Chanter which buff units attack speed, the Ballista which can heal as it fires over friendly units, and Echoes of the Future which gives double mana for thirty seconds and then nothing after for 30 seconds (best used for stacking extra units in that final push).
In copper you will find that using all the cards mentioned above help out significantly.

The Soul Cauldron Spawner is a great super tanky unit that can be placed right at the beginning of a match it will soak up a lot of the damage from the enemy towers. It will need a few heals like Surge of Light to keep it alive which is probably the easiest spell to use with it since it can over heal (effectively shielding) your cauldron.

Stone weavers and the Ballista are better suited for any towers/static defense as they do siege damage.
Archers are better suited for dealing damage to units.
Overall from the mentioned above is they are all ranged units and will hide behind the cauldron so they ball up more to keep rolling through enemy lines.

Lastly in the Golem Challenges you can rank your cards up to any tier you want which is particularly helpful and recommended with all cards. Super helpful to have especially on Surge of Light as one more charge may be the difference in having a saved up spell to use or waiting on a charge to come back.

At the beginning of the match you will want to place a Cauldron Spawner and as soon as they spawn in the match keep spawning Stone Weavers on top of the cauldron. Save a little mana here and there for heals as needed for your cauldron and you should destroy the stone challenge in around a minute. Feel free to used your Echoes spell around the 35-40 second mark of the match or after the third tower is taken down and spawn in as many stone weavers as you can.

If your cauldron has made it past the third tower and is still alive do not worry about healing it at this point. You will want the cauldron to get as close to enemy static defenses/towers and die. On death it will attack with any stacked up charges it has accrued along the way.
