How to unlock the "Do you know what 'DK' stands for?" achievement in Forza Horizon 4 - Definitive Guide
Car: Formula Drift Viper
Tune: Drift Zone by creator Tiptronik
Assists: Traction and Stability control both off. Some people have suggested using manual and keeping the car in a certain gear but I done all the zones on automatic so this isn't necessary. Also be sure to have rewinds on they can help a lot if you're on a good run but happen to ruin a corner.
The Formula Drift car pack is DLC however as far as I'm aware it was included with every edition of the game(I'm playing on game pass and it's definitely included there). You're supposed to get one of each car for free but it seems like only people with the ultimate edition got them for free so you will have to pay 300,000 credits for it if you just have the regular edition. It does have a mastery which gives you 300,000 back so really all you're actually paying for the car is skill points(It costs 19 skill points to get the credits).
For this achievement you don't need to get 3 stars on every zone but 3 stars are required for the Stunt Superhero achievement.
I got 3 stars on most zones with ease using this car but there were a few tricky ones which took me a while. All I can say is keep trying if you're stuck you will get there in the end with enough practice.
One of the other solutions suggested using the Hoonicorn which I would not recommend at all. That car is terrible for drifting so don't waste your money on it.
Edit: It seems not everyone actually got the Formula Drift pack for free with Game Pass so you may have to pay for it if you want to use this car. For me it was free with Game Pass so it seems pretty strange that not everyone got it.

If you don't have any aditional cars, a lot of people are suggesting Willys Jeep with TYGAxxxx setup (A743). I used it and got 3 stars on every zone in 2 hours, so I would highly recommend it.

Hoonigan TwerkStallion, Tune with 10 launch, TC and SC turn off. Your Welcome!

I personally used the Formula Drift #13 Ford Mustang 2015 to get 3 stars on all of the drift run events. I used the tune: EZ AWD DRIFT created by KING POSH. I had traction and stability off with auto transmission (rewinds on).
I reached level 10 after doing 18 of the events with 3 stars (there are 20 in total).

Yet another premium car solution
By FISK on 05 Oct 2018 15:51
Im going to assume you voted negative since you dont have the dlc car? There are 500? cars in the game, and of course paid content will have some advantsge (why else would someone buy it)...find an alternative car, turn off traction and stability, and get 3 stars on drift runs. A decent, "free" car is this weeks #forzathon reward, the 205 Turbo 16 Forza Edition.

FREE Solution! No DLC Cars needed!
My weapon of choice is the Ford F-100. I tried the Holden Torana A9X at first but the Ford worked better. I only chose it because it was very high on the rankings on a Zone that I couldn't 3 star with the Holden.
Car: Ford F-100
Tune: Drift by TYGAxxxx (A 729, 5 star rating)
Cost: 36.500 Credits for the car (iirc) and around 103k for the tuning.
The Torona-tune is from the same guy.
Makes it easier to 3 star the Drift zones. I still have trouble with some (maybe because of winter) and will update this solution once I 3 star everything. So far it's just enough to reach level 10 and get the achievement.

-1, F-100 I find *much* harder than the Torana, not even getting close to the same scores with it as I did with the Torana with that tune.

Another non-DLC car is the 94 Mazda MX-5 with the drift tune from Spilner. It's worked much better for me than the Formula Drift 240Z.

I've listed some tips below to supplement the other solutions, based on my own experience and comments on various forums (including here!). None of these are rocket science but hopefully they can help someone? (they helped me when I found them out!)
0. Getting a nice drift around a corner is a combination of steering and throttle and it's hard to describe or give some mechanical rules....there's a bit of an art and trial and error to it... but I've listed some ways to correct common problems here:-
a. If your rear wheels slide out of the outside of the corner your entry speed is probably too high - slow down a bit before getting to that corner and starting the drift.
b. If your entry speed is too low, you'll tend to find the car either ends up pointing backwards, or you bog down and the drift stops, mid-corner.
c. If your angle is too shallow (too close to going around the corner normally) then increase the amount of acceleration. This spins the rear wheels more and makes the car slide more sideways. That should work, but if it doesn't then tap "A" to hit the handbrake a touch.
d. If your angle is too steep (the nose of the car is pointing right into the center of the corner so your car is completely across the track) decrease the amount of acceleration and counter steer out of the corner.
1. Most drift zones start with a short straight. Try to cross the start line already drifting, (usually in the opposite direction to the first corner, so you can immediately flick into the first corner drift). This gets you a nice little cushion early in the run, although it can be a bit fiddly.
2. If there are "straights" in some of the longer zones, then try to wiggle from side to side to get mini-drifts and keep the points going up. On tarmac the cars are grippier so you can do mini hand-brake drifts and snap back into line. On dirt you have to do more vague, slightly longer, slides from side to side.
3. As a general rule you want to be transitioning from drift to drift straight away. When the car is transitioning it has a lot of sideways momentum, so you may find you need to temporarily reduce the acceleration to let the rear wheels get a little more grip...then power back on a little bit to hold the new drift.
4. The drift zones are very different in one direction than the other...try both a few times and see if you are consistently better in one direction. Then stick with that direction. I generally find uphill runs are usually easier as you can control speed better and not end up going into one of the later corners too fast.
5. Use rewind to save a run if you're part way through. Sometimes the points counter will disappear BUT it IS still tracking the points. Just keep drifting and complete the run to see how you've done. EDIT - if you rewind a lot the tracking may stop, and if the points ARE tracking, but invisible, then I think you only see your score if you get a PB or more starts than you had previously....so basically it can be difficult to tell. Try to use rewind sparingly, and if your points disappear then finish the run if it's close to the end and you think you're on a PB or 3 star run.
6. Very similar to 1 but do the same on the short straight to the exit point. What happens after the exit doesn't matter at all so make sure you keep a random juicy drift going as you exit the zone. Just spin afterwards with a smile on your face :-)

Edit: Thanks for Maka's permission i post his video in this guide:
I used this solution in this case. I basicly bough the Ford 'Hoonicorn' Mustang, and used Maka91's tuning file. After that i turned off Stability and Traction control and changed the transmission to manual. It will be still a pain in the ass to not spin out, but after a few tries i managed to learn how to control the car. Remember, always use the Second Gear, so you can gain enough speed to get more scores in the bigger corners. In tight sections (for example when you have to drift in the mud) i changed back to First Gear, so i didn't spin or split out the track. Use handbrake when your car needs a bit of an angle, but never forget to countersteer.
I know it is a much harder thing to accompplish, not as easy as it was with the Toyota Celica GT in Horizon 3, but right know this is the best solution in my opinion.

Drift Zones are indicated by a white sign with a red border with a picture of a car drifting. If you hover over the event in your map it will indicate its a drift zone and list the star requirements. As you participate in them you'll acquire a star rating which helps you rank up in this event. Keep drifting through this and aim for 2-3 stars. Once you hit level 10 your achievement will unlock.

As an option, use a Ford F-100 with Drift settings by TYGAxxxx (A 729)
It was possible to do it only in spring and summer; in winter the track was hard to see, I kept flying off it

The Ford Roadster was also recently added to the game. It's much easier to drift on it.

Personally, I went through all the drift zones in a Hoonigan Ford "Hoonicorn" Mustang with all-wheel drive drift tuning.
