How to unlock the Houdini's habitat achievement in Gray Matter - Definitive Guide

The achievement is story related....
You get it during the "tutorial" in the first chapter.

At the beginning of the game you have to find the rabbit, give him food an water.

This achievement is the first that any player will get in the game (Thus why it has a 100% achievement-collection and a TA Ratio of 1.00).

After you gain control of the character, you'll have to find Houdini, Samantha's Rabbit. You'll have to find food and water for Houdini.

Houdini is nibbling on the plant in the room, so go around the bed, hold LT, and then use the Left Stick to aim at Houdini, and without releasing the Left Stick, press A.

Sam will put Houdini in his cage. Now to find the food and the water.

Once the mini cutscene with Sam putting Houdini in his cage is finished, the game will textually alert you to search the room for food and water, and to not forget Sam's backpack, which is on the floor at the bottom of the bed. Select it using the examine wheel (LT, then Left Stick to aim), then press A to open the backpack.

Take the water bottle and the carrot, by moving the cursor over them with the Left Stick, then pressing A.

Also take the Deck of Cards, the Magic Handbook, the Wallet, the Swiss Army Knife, and the Matchbook with the Daedalus Club logo, as you'll need them all later.

Press B to back out from the backpack. Go into your inventory with the Y button, select the water bottle, and press X to make it your active item, which you'll see at the top right of your screen. Go to the water pitcher on the bedside table to the right of the bed. Select the water pitcher with the examine wheel, whilst you still have the water bottle as your active item (X button, top right of screen), and Sam will fill the water bottle with water.

Move to Houdini's cage, and then, using Y to open your inventory, and X to make the carrot your active item, use the examine wheel to aim at Houdini's cage, and then press A. Sam will give the carrot to Houdini. Repeat this process again, but this time do it with the water bottle.

When both items have been given to Houdini, your first achievement of Gray Matter will pop.

I've been looking around the whole mansion for the past 5 hours, but I can't find the rabbit food and now I'm afraid that Houdini died of starvation. I was never really good with animals :(

Story Related, can’t miss it. At the start of the game, Chapter 1 – the first “puzzle” where Sam has to find her rabbit, then feed it and give it water. Follow the tutorial and if you can’t get this, then there’s no hope for you. Sorry.
