How to unlock the 180 Star! achievement in Kinect Sports Season Two - Definitive Guide

The description does give away all you need to do. However, I found a neat twist in my run for the full ten:

I had 181 points left during a round and threw 3 triple 20s, which made me lose my turn and reset the points back to 181, BUT that 180 counted toward my count of 10! So after my 9th 180 I received the achievement.

Had I known it would count, I would have gotten as many triples-20s as possible instead of having to play multiple games in order to have the chance for them to count toward the score. So, if you can hit 180s consistently and you have anywhere from 121 -> 181 as a score remaining you can grind as many of these out as possible within the same game as long as the comupter doesn't close out on you in the process.

How do you know when it counts it? There doesn't appear to be any way to keep track.

Some added info: It saves after every 180 you get. So you do not need to finish out the rest of the game. Might save some people time.

You need to make a slight adjustment to your "remaining score" range. In order to continue throwing in the same game you need a score of 122-181. If you have 121 and throw two 60s, you will bust and lose your third dart. Besides that, nice solution!

Not sure if this was patched, but it didn't work for me.

Did not work for me either? When it says bust I don't think it counts.

I have found with this is all comes down to your technique. Start with your hand about mid way in front of you. Pull back slowly to lock in the cross hairs on the triple twenty. Then be sure to go straight forward with your hand and a medium pace. You should hit it everytime. The other thing is start in the middle. Once you hit that triple then step to the left and then to the right to throw your next two. That way you avoid grouping the darts too close together and then not be able to fit your dart in the triple. It didn't take me but a couple of rounds to knock it out once I had the technique down.

If you take it real easy you can hit wherever you want on the board on each throw. It takes extreme patience, but it can be done. Make a fist with your hand and aim at the board. If you slowly pull back, the reticule will lock in place. This gives you time to decide if you want to take that shot where the reticule locked. If you are unsure in any way, don’t shoot, just move your hand around to reset the reticule. You won’t be able adjust on the fly accurately either so don’t try that. You want to be absolutely sure for some of these achievements.

If you pull back and it stops exactly where you want it, now you can throw your dart. You’ll have to punch forward with some effort, but not too much, otherwise it won’t fly straight. If you go too slow the reticule will reset, as it won’t recognise a shot. That’s OK though and better than an errant shot. Concentrate on punching very straight, with just enough force for the game to recognise a throw. There's a bit of a learning curve but with patience and time you'll get the hang of it. Be prepared for some frustration though, it’s not easy by any means.

To fit three in such a small space (triple-20, bullseye), you can lean or move slightly to each side to fit when on one side, in the middle, and one on the other side. Combine this with where your aiming reticule is and you can fit all three in the bullseye or triple-20.
