How to unlock the Accelerated Production achievement in Magic Duels - Definitive Guide

Much like everyone else I spend hours trying to get this the way it was intended. However there is only 1 known method to do it and it requires very specific cards and even when you get those cards you have to hope you get the right draw from diving into your library.

However there is a SUPER EASY way of doing this!

IllegallySam made a comment on the other solution that it popped very late in the duel well after the 4th turn. This happened after a skill quest. His thought was that the skill quest reset the turn counter. That is exactly what happened!

Go into your Help and Options mean and reset your skill quests.

UPDATE
Legaia Dragon informed me that you do not have to reset your skill quests. You can highlight the card and zoom in to play the skill quest anytime.

Help and Options > Settings > Gameplay

At the bottom of the menu you will find the Reset Tips option.

This not only resets your tips but also all of the skill quests.

Create any deck that has your preferred card with converted mana cost of 7 and play normally. Play a card that will prompt a skill quest once you have the card in your hand and the required lands in play. Complete the skill quest and within the next four turns play your card with converted mana cost of 7 and BOOM!

I used an instant to prompt the skill quest but there are many others you could use.

Go here to view skill quests:

Help and Options > Help

The following will prompt a skill quest:

Enchantment
Enchantment – Aura
Counterspell
Activated Abilities
Triggered Abilities
First Strike
+X / +X Counters
Flying and Reach
Graveyard Interactions
Deathtouch
X-Spells and Repeatable Abilities
Equipment
Lifelink
Token Making
Planeswalkers

Note that skill quests will pop up when you or an opponent plays a card.

I don't know why you got a downvote, this solution worked! thank you, also just a tip, you don't have to reset the skill quest, you can still do them by zooming on a card and do the skill quest from there.

To any of you down-voting this solution because it isn't "legit" or something, consider this.

The odds of pulling this achievement off through just plain playing the game are essentially non-existent. This isn't a fun achievement to try either, and considering this is already a game that expects to take over your life if you want to get all of the achievements, this time wasting achievement is an even bigger waste of time.

The odds of pulling this achievement off by specifically going for it are still astronomical. You NEED to have both copies of a specific card they only give you 2 copies of to work with. I'm not a statistician, but from what I figure that alone brings it down to about a 1.3% chance of having both in your opening hand, and it never once happened that I got both copies of Animist's Awakening in my opening hand in 2 hours of attempting this legitimately. If you only have one in your opening hand it figures to be a 1 in 50 shot each time you draw to get the other.

It gets worse from there. Then, you still have to have enough lands and a 7 cost creature. Even if you get all three of those, , you still have to have enough blind luck to hit 1 land with your first casting of Animist's Awakening, and 2 out of 3 at least on your second. These are both approximately 50% chances if you specifically build a worthless 30 forest deck just for this achievement, dropping your already significantly low chance of success by 75%. Again, I'm not a statistician, but that puts the odds at happening into this achievement while specifically going for it at a fraction of a percent per attempt and leaves you at the mercy of chance.

No amount of skill awards you this achievement, hence it isn't an achievement at all. It's just something that happens or doesn't, even if you try hard and do everything right, and that's garbage.

You and me both Tuscani. Even when you get the cards you need you still have to pull land from the Animist card.

I got the cards three times, and never had the land where I needed it. It was usually the next card. I had actually decided to wait and see if they released different cards down the road before I saw this.

This solution is absolutely incredible. Good work to everyone who found this, and saved me a ton of time getting the cards usually required for this! +1

Thank you very much! Worked liked a charm. Just waited till I got the required amount of Lands on the table, activated the skill quest and after finishing it I played the required creature.

Got the achievement within 5 minutes. +1 from me.

Another tip, I did the skill quest just from the pause menu. Didn't have to play a card.

Does anyone know if this still works even if you've already completed all of the skill quests? I tried the tip about using a planeswalker, but I couldn't find any way to trigger the skill quest again. I've tried resetting the tips, but I don't get any skill quests popping up - just the tips. Hopefully I'm missing something obvious, but would appreciate any help.

If you press RT to zoom in on a card, if it has a mechanic that has a skill quest associated with it, you can replay it. So all you need is, say, a flying creature to initiate a skill quest even if you've already done it before.

Thanks. I figured it out. I had to play the Planeswalker card before I could replay the quest. Zooming in while it was in my hand didn't show me the option to replay the quest (even after I had flipped the card and selected the "Planeswalker" description.
Great solution!!

I just earned this achievement using the following deck:

3x Sunblade Elf
1x Animist's Awakening
2x Alchemist's Vial
2x Evolutionary Leap
1x Nissa Pilgrimage
3x Meteorite
2x Zendikar Roil
4x Axebane Stag
2x Nissa Revelation
10x Non-creature Artifacts (Like Throwing Knife or Sigil of Valor)
30x Forest

The Artifacts are just filler, as the deck builder will not let you use more than 30 lands.

The idea is to hit the Sunblade Elf on turn 1, and the Evolutionary Leap on 2. Sacrifice the Elf, and get either another Elf, or the Stag.

Then just get to 7 lands. Once you have 7 lands and a Stag in hand, zoom in on almost any card, and on the right should be a menu item (Activated Ability, etc.). Select that and press A, and then you should see Y 'Play Skill Quest'.

Press Y and play through the Skill Quest. Once you get back to the original game, Cast your Stag, and the Achievement should pop.

This achievement requires luck and patience.

Try to get the following in your starting hand:
7 cost creature (Axebane Stag or Gaea's Revenge)
2x Animist's Awakening
3-4x Forest

Turn 1: 1 land: Forest. Pass*.
Turn 2: 3 lands: Forest. Animist's Awakening for 1, get 1 land.
Turn 3: 6-7 lands: Forest. Animist's Awakening for 3, get 2+ lands.
Turn 4: 7-8 lands: Forest. 7 cost creature.

With the Eldritch Moon expansion, this has become incredibly easy. The emerge ability allows you to sacrifice a creature to reduce the casting cost of a creature.

Example: Wretched Gryff has a casting cost of 7. Using the emerge ability, you can sacrifice a creature and pay five plus a blue to cast (which is further reduced by the converted casting cost of the sacrificed creature).

On your third turn, cast any creature with a cost of 3. On your fourth turn, sacrifice that creature to cast Wretched Gryff for 2 plus a blue. Achievement unlocked. There are several other possible emerge creatures that can be cast this way, and any basic emerge deck should be able to unlock this achievement easily.

This achievement is almost impossible to get it if you don't build a special Deck for this. First of all, unlock the 2 green sorcery cards called "Animist’s Awakening" by buying booster packs. Once this step is done, create a Deck with 30 Forest Mana Cards, 2 "Animist’s Awakening", 4 "Axebane Stag" (available at the start of the game) and complete it with 24 random cards.

Now, start a duel against the AI. In your first hand you NEED (or get them in your next three turns by draw) 4 forest card, 2 "Animist's Awakening" and 1 "Axebane Stag".

Once you have this hand, play a forest in your First turn. On your Second turn, play another forest and cast"Animist’s Awakening" with an X cost of 1. If you get a land with this effect you can continue, if not, restart the duel. Third step, another forest and the second "Animist’s Awakening" with an X cost of 3. You need AT LEAST two forest by this effect, if you don't get them, restart the duel. Once you do this, on your Fourth turn just put your last forest and cast "Axebane Stag".

This is going to take quite a few turns, but there isn't another way to get this achievement with the current Magic Origins set.
