How to unlock the The Burning Roar of a Hot-Blooded Beast achievement in NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 4 - Definitive Guide

The first fight with Guy vs Madara is definitely one of the most difficult battles in the game to get an S rank on, so I would only recommend doing it once you consider yourself proficient at the game.

Through my many attempts, I think I've come across the best course of action for dealing with him. When you have chakra, keep doing chakra dashes towards Madara and executing his standard ground combo (not the one that knocks him into the air, because that doesn't knock him down). While he is stunned from the combo, use that time to recharge your chakra. As the fight goes on, he will start to use more substitutions and make it more difficult, but just keep following roughly the same strategy, while substituting when he attacks you, of course.

Just make sure not to get caught in one of his combos with no substitutions, because you will definitely end up with below 90% health, thus kissing your S rank goodbye.

I would also recommend not using Guy's ultimate jutsu/secret technique. For this battle, they stuck you with pretty much his worst one, it doesn't do a whole lot of damage and because of the way it is executed, it is very easy for Madara to dodge/block anyway, so I would say it's just a waste of chakra.

I would also recommend watching out for Madara when he chakra dashes. A good strategy that worked for me was to fight mostly on the counter.
Keep your distance and once you see Madara charge up for a chakra dash jump in the air once to dodge it, and whilst in the air chakra dash towards him and keep up the combo+dash as long as you can.

Very good solution! I tried it many times but after I got the hang of it I did it even flawless. I would add that if Madara is teleporting behind you, you can do the chakra dash again and then stun him and then you can mash B. Worked very well for me. +1

Honestly I attempted to follow what you said. It worked way better to spam chakra dash and use normal b combos. if he attempts to attack use substitution and keep combo up. I never used up my subs this way. Won first try this way with ease

The Throw movement RT+B helps a lot the second round when Madara encapsulate himself in that ball

During your second fight with Madra ( after Guy opens The Gate of Death) you will get a QTE when you get Madra down to his last health bar:
1. Down
2. B
3. Y, Y, Y, Y, A
4. RB
5. B
6. B
7. Mash B

Yeah the first part of the fight can be tricky. I just spammed guys ultimate jutsu or constantly chakra dashed and tried to land some combos.

The video EOD posted in the other solution was a lifesaver for developing a working part 1 strategy. The trick for part 1 is to constantly break the last knock away hit of your main combo with a chakra dash, over and over, until you have about 1 dash of chakra left. You can chain 2-4 combos this way. Your damage output just isn't high enough to win without this. Recharge after intentionally knocking away when chakra is needed.

Dashing constantly has the double-benefit of automatically re-engaging him if he teleports - the dash puts you right back into combing. Breaking a combo with a dash is essentially a free teleport. Same when he teleports early in your combo - if you react quickly and dash as soon as he teleports, you become safe again and are damaging. It only gets dangerous if his constant teleporting forces too many dashes and you are out of chakra, and can't get a combo finish for a knock away. It becomes a balance of maintaining enough chakra for "defensive" dashes while still outputting high damage, so that he doesn't win the battle of attrition. After 2 health bars it's a good idea to knock away with 2-3 dashes worth of chakra left. As a backup, with 1 dash left and in the middle of a combo, I'd use it to dash away, and start charging. Usually he'll do the same and you can get back to almost full. If he immediately attacks, start burning your teleports and keep trying to get away. If you run out of teleports and can't get away it's a retry.

The one other thing is using your YB to beat his dashes - if he's dashing at you and you're mid range, YB beats a dash for priority and it connects, or he teleports, at which point it's right back to dashing and comboing. After getting the dash combo stringing timing down it went from impossible feeling and hardly getting him to half health before I was below 90% health, to taking about five more tries.

Chapter: The Final Showdown

This is an S Rank trophy where you'll need to complete "The Crimson Beast" with an S Rank completion. In order to achieve an S Rank you must complete the battle with the following:

  1. 90% or higher Health
  2. 90% or higher IA Completion Ratio
  3. Never used a Continue

This S Rank trophy is broken down into two parts. The first part is a Free Battle and the second part is a Dramatic Battle. A Dramatic Battle is a special battle that combines free battle with Interactive Actions. Below, you'll find information and strategy on how to achieve the S Rank.

Might Guy Strikes

This is considered to be one of the hardest S Rank trophies in the game. During this battle, you'll be be in control of Guy vs Madara. Madara has a much higher Health bar than you do. The best method is to use Chakra Dash [Chakra Load + ], and then combo with the basic combo, but before you finish the combo follow up with another Chakra Dash to keep the combo spamming going. Recharge your Chakra back up whenever you knock your opponent back. It's also recommended that you block with and wait for the right moment to Chakra Dash. Then string the Chakra Dash combos until you run out of chakra and when you finish the combo you'll push Madara to the other side of the field. Recharge your chakra then block while waiting for him to come to you again. Rinse and repeat until you get lucky and defeat him. Furthermore, don't bother using Guy's Ultimate Jutsu Hirudora [ ] because it's terrible and hardly never connects. Madara's DEF stats is also too high, so the damage from the Ultimate won't be doing that much damage anyway even if you did landed it. You can however use Guy's signature move Dynamic Entry [Chakra Load + ] as this will home in at Madara. Dynamic Entry also has knockback abilities which buys you sometime to recharge Chakra for Chakra Dash combos. This might take you multiple tries until you managed to defeat Madara with over 90% of your Health, but don't give up and keep trying.

The Eight Inner Gates Formation

This is the final part of the battle of Guy vs Madara, and Guy is in his Eight Gates Awakening State (Gate of Death). This battle is way easier than the previous battle, even though Madara still has a much higher Health bar than you do. This battle is pretty straightforward, and you can do a lot of damage. Chakra Dash into Madara [Chakra Load + ] and combo him. He will wrap himself into a shell throughout the fight every now and then, but this is easily breakable with Guy's Dynamic Entry [Chakra Load + ]. This will not only break Madara’s shell, but also stun him, and most of the time knock him back across the battlefield. While he is stunned, recharge your Chakra back up and just repeat the previous step. After you get Madara down to a third of his yellow Health bar, he'll try and use a special attack. Just simply move left, right, and left with as the QTE tells you to do. Eventually, Madara will sustain too much damage and an Interactive Action Sequence will follow:

Interactive Actions Sequence

  • to charge up Guy’s Chakra
  • to build up attack
  • to charge at Madara
  • To throw a kunai with Minato
  • to rush at Madara
  • to Kick Madara
  • Mash repeatedly to charge through Madara
