How to unlock the Ryo's Record 10 achievement in Need For Speed ProStreet - Definitive Guide
If you have trouble to hold a fully tuned car on the road (like I did), make a Toyota Supra with all level 2 upgrades. It will be more stable on the road and your time doesn't to be under 2:10 then. You'll break the record with the Toyota Supra when your time is around -50 of the target time.

This is the best method.
Buy a Toyota Supra from the garage. Costs about 26,000.
Equip it fully with level 2 parts, best body kit and spoiler and you're off.

Thanks for this! Worked like a charm, first time.
I only wish I'd read this before playing through the campaign to dominate all race days....... All the Nevada ones took me ages, especially these tracks!

I'm not usually one to write many solutions, but I used something that was FAR easier than the Supra solution: use the Porsche 911 Turbo. This thing is GOLD. Put the max level 3 upgrades on it, along with the best body kit, and you'll notice the time to beat is still around 3:09, if I remember correctly. The 911 is agile, quick, and it's doable keeping the level at casual for most of the race. I did turn the assist level to KING around 85%. I tried the Supra around 25 times, then tried the 911. Took ONE TRY.
Around 47 seconds under the time, and I did not run anywhere NEAR a clean race, so there's plenty of wiggle room for mistakes. Please try this, it helped me so damn much!
Hope you all like it!
PLEASE TELL ME WHY IF YOU DOWNVOTE. I am SICK and TIRED of downvotes with no explanation.

Only solution that helped me, pretty hard to believe you got this on your first try, it took me like 12 tries. So yeah nice solution, 1+ for you.

ok this can be sumwhat anoying and most info is hard to follow so do it like this
Toyota Supra
Stage 2 for all engine, brakes etc
NOS STAGE 3!!!!!
I assume everyone is playing on casual, heres how you do it no problem.
1. start on casual get a huge lead 13 sec or more lead on 2nd car by 60% of the way.
2. pause the game go to assist set it to king, this makes u go faster because on casual u go slower cause the game
3. MAKE SURE YOU GET NO DAMAGE ITS KEY!!
4. do it like i sead i got 10.193 points.
hope you like plz vote up

Why would you advice to start on casual. By starting on King the huge lead will be much bigger than the paltry 13 seconds lead on the 2nd car by 60% of the way.
Your advice should be as follows:
Set the driving assist to king. You don't need any assist since you only have to accelerate and steer. The level of driving assist won't affect the target time of the race. However king setting will prevent the AI from doing any kind of braking.
"MAKE SURE YOU GET NO DAMAGE ITS KEY!!"
Maybe you can elaborate on what you mean with this. Getting a clean race with no damage will only yield you 500 credits. Why would 500 credits on a total of about 10.000 be key?
Of course it is nice to do a clean race. But I think you exaggerate the importance of doing so.
Doing the race quickly is key in my opinion. The reward for a quick finish is key!
Giving advice about starting on casual is wrong.
Doing a clean race is nice but not crucial.

1. If you start on king its much harder to pass cars and gain 1st place + you will more likey weck.
2.Your wong try it and watch the, casual uses auto brake, and can slow you down random on bends, king doasent.
3.Damage is key -.- you need like 9.300 points i finished in 2.28- most ppl finish 2.42 so damage is key if you dont get good time.

I was able to get this by using a fully upgraded LP640 Lambo and I had to set my assist level to King.
I found that if i had the assists setting on "Racer" it was breaking too much and stopping me from getting a time quick enough to get the bonus needed to beat Ryo's score of 9430.
It took me a couple of attempts at king just to get the breaking / power right. Use a nitrous at the start to get upto speed quickly, a dab of breaks just before you crest the jumps to stop you flying out of control, and let of the gas a touch round a couple of the corners and you should get it, you are basically going to need to get zero damage and a time of around 40 seconds below par.

I got this by using a fully upgraded porshe 911 turbo, I read all the other guides and couldn't work out why they were changing assist difficulty I kept it casual throughout the whole race, finished and got the achievement on my first try with a score of 10,000 granted it's not the best score possible but it was an extremely easy way to get the achievement and the other cars were not in my way. Also if your wondering I got -50 seconds if that helps.
