How to unlock the Registered Hunter achievement in Neoverse - Definitive Guide
Hello TA-Community,
The Hunter Mode is available while starting a "New Journey" from the main menu. As usual you can pick your character and gear for going in those 20 battles. In the Hunter Mode you will find the Data Store and Skills Tree as well. At the end of each of those battles, you will receive a supply box with a card/item/skill point(s) (which you can also skip).
The (card) setup is a bit different from adventure mode:
- you won’t start with the basic attack/defense cards – those will be replaced by hunter’s attack/defense cards. Those are a bit different for each character.
- Each battle will spawn 3 monsters (battle 1-10) or 4 monsters (battle 11-20). This sums up to around 70 monsters per run. Therefore, hunters mode is great for grinding this achievement:
(Some monsters flee the battle right away in turn 1 or later on though)
- After completing battles 5/10/15, you will enter the “black market”. This offers you a couple of options: remove a card (50 coins), evolve a card (50), 5 skills points (always 350), 20 HP back (???), max 10 HP (100), gain 1 max mana (1000), … The prices double after each use for certain perks. Finishing those levels also grants you trophies.
Few notes:
- Since this mode offers you both the data store and the black market, you should consider where you spend your coins. Remember to gather enough coins after battles 5/10/15 to buy some perks. I am not sure where the money is best spent (depending on deck build, HP situation, available cards in data store, …) but I highly suggest the black market. Having more mana was a game changer for me personally.
- ending a run unlocks perks for your next run, depending on how far you got: so don’t give up a run but try to go as far as possible. Start bonuses are handed out before starting a new run: milestones are completing stage 5/10/15/20 in the previous runs and offer you 400 more gold, max HP +20, card selection +1 and 4 skills points
- the hunters mode also shows you right away how much coins you get for killing a monster. Triggering precision is not needed to get those coins.
Tactics:
Still in progression. Let us know about your tactics and I would love to update.
I personally cleared the hunters mode quite easily with Claire (second character with the shield). Her hunters attack cards deal 3 basic damage to all enemies. Since you are confronted 3/4 monsters each battle, this seems a good trick. I tried to finish combos in order to get the next attack card doubled. That way you smash a lot of damage to all enemies at once. I combined this tactic with cards for punishment mostly, so that attacking me dished out even more damage. I completed the deck with a few vampirism cards in order to get some HP back with all those attacks. Took me to battle 15 in first try and cleared on my second try.
