How to unlock the Impossibru! achievement in NeuroVoider - Definitive Guide

The Unstable skill will make it so you have a random skill for every level, including bosses.

Skills
There are 26 other skills, but a lot of them are completely useless, so be prepared to go into most levels without a skill. You can find a full list here at the NeuroVoider wiki: https://neurovoider.fandom.com/wiki/Skills
Cross your fingers for either of the 2 healing, 2 EP recharge, or bonus life skills.

SET UP
Make sure you pick Arcade difficulty as difficulty does not matter, so pick the easiest. For all my runs, I choose the Fortress class due to its cn_RB special, which is a shield that blocks all damage. The shield does bounce back some projectiles, but unfortunately those reflected projectiles do not harm enemies.a

LEVEL SELECTION
I personally chose low size with high elite levels. The loot stat I didn't really pay attention to since elites seemed to always drop loot even at 1 bar loot. ALWAYS select the bonus levels (different color from the rest) as you usually get a ton of loot and they give a skip level token, which not only skips the next level, but also makes the following level easier as well! So make sure to use skip tokens 2 levels before a boss in order to take full advantage, since the lower difficulty bonus does not affect boss levels.

Note: Make sure that at the beginning at each level you pause and look up the skill you are given.
BUILD
Note: 0 -> 5 boost gives 15% on any non EP/HP stat on armor. For example: Core 0 boost with EP Cost -10% upgrades to Core 5 boost with EP Cost -25%

Here is the build I ended winning with:
  • Blue Vision 0 Boost - I didn't bother boosting vision due to the skill stats affecting the skill you get per level, but since most skills are completely useless, I found it more efficient to spend the scrap boosting other pieces of armor
  • Blue Core 5 Boost - You want to use a piece that gives a high EP/s and lowers EP cost the most. The highest EP cost reduction I found was -40% on a fully 5 boosted core, so finding a core with -20% or greater is really good! Mine was +87.1 EP/s and -38% EP Cost.
  • Gold Transport 5 Boost - I got lucky and found a gold piece with high base ability stats, but if you can find one with high base speed then you should use it. You can kinda ignore overheat since you don't ever want to overheat (Even with the overheat skill!)
  • White Pulse Beam 4 Boost - I used this as my secondary and only really used it for single small enemies that moved fast. It doesn't have to be Pulse Beam specifically, but I liked using it due to how easy it was to aim. You could also go for constant beam, lighting, or machine gun type. Just make sure that it is a somewhat low EP/s weapon. Mine was 2655 DMG/s and 85 EP/s.
  • Gold Nuke 5 Boost - For your primary weapon, you want to find a weapon with high splash. In my opinion: Nuke > Single Straight Rocket > Rocket Barrage > Grenade > Random Rocket. Nukes tend to have high splash and damage, allowing you to clear huge amounts of enemies at the same time and kill bosses rather quickly. Single Rockets have much smaller splash areas, but are still capable of killing elites in 1 shot. For rocket barrages, you have to rely on lots of rockets hitting to deal the most damage, but they tend to spread out the further they go. Grenades had more splash than rockets, but I preferred using rockets because grenades would bounce off walls while rockets would explode on contact. Random rockets would curve left or right, making it rather difficult to get accurate shots. Mine was 4049 DMG/s, 101 EP/s, and 233 splash.
Note: Make sure you test weapons by using cn_RT when viewing the weapon. There are a ton of variations, so don't only look at DMG/s. You want to avoid weapons that shoot all around you or split the bullets in all directions. Those are almost impossible to reach the full DMG/s they have listed.

Note: I avoided using Glitch (purple) weapons. They usually had really high DMG/s and were already 5 Boosted, but they also had really high EP/s, meaning you could only shoot them once or twice before overheating.

ENEMIES
White/Blue enemies didn't pose much of a threat, but there are 2 variations to be careful of. Rocket variants and sniper variants. Rocket variants I rarely encountered in regular levels, mostly in boss levels. Sniper variants would aim at you with a red laser before firing and they deal a good amount of damage, so a few firing at you at the same time will take a big chunk of you HP. So whenever you see a red laser aimed at you, quickly use your cn_RB to block all damage. Sometimes the red laser enemies turned out to be machine gun variants, but I always shielded just to be safe.

Gold/Red enemies are Elites/Super Elites. Nukes/Rockets tend to 1 shot these guys, but you should still be careful with these guys since they have stronger weapons. Just like with white/blue enemies, be extra careful for rocket/sniper variants, as well with nuke variants! These guys also tend to drop repair packs when you are missing health, but repair packs disappear after a brief moment

Note: Watch your EP usage closely so you always have enough to use your shield!

Note: Take your time!! (Expect for self-destruct levels) There is no time limit for this achievement, so slowly clear rooms by moving forward to lure some enemies then move back to a previously cleared room to kill them.

BOSSES
Unfortunately a lot about bosses is random, meaning that the weapons they use, the size of the arena and the weapons of the spawning enemies is random. I lost one run due to the boss having nukes as weapons which I didn't notice until it was too late... So for the first few seconds, I would only use my lower EP/s gun while paying attention to the weapons used by the boss + minions. This way you can tell how conservative you would have to be with your EP. If the boss doesn't have any nukes/rockets, then you could rely on dodging the shots without the need of your shield. The minions could also have rockets and spawn endlessly until the weak spot is destroyed, but they would sometimes drop repair packs when killed.
Once you see what kind of weapons you are dealing with, you can focus on the boss with your primary, while only killing the minions when HP is needed. Once you have the weak spot at a low HP, wait until your EP is full before destroying it. As soon as you destroy it, additional goons will spawn in. If I remember correctly bosses 1, 2, and 3 spawn in blue enemies, while the 4th boss spawns in gold elites. You want to quickly kill these guys BEFORE damaging the boss as these goons can have rockets and mess you up.
For the final boss, he spawned in with rockets/orbs that explode into more orbs. I did get this variant before in another run, but I think his weapons are random as well. While the platform is somewhat small, you can still circle around him in order to make him miss. If he got too close, I would shield and wait for him to end his shooting before moving.

This run took me 3 resets and I completed the full run in under an hour, so luckily it is a rather quick game. So don't give up if you die since if you can reach the same level on your next run and kill your nemesis, you get all your loot back! The gold Nuke I listed above, was actually from my previous run when I died to the 3rd boss. Good luck!!
