How to unlock the One More Out of the Pack achievement in One Leaves - Definitive Guide
This is a solo game against 3 computer players. Only the first one to the exit makes it out alive. You need to be the first one out 20 times to unlock this. In my video at 13:30 I do a speed run and show you how to get through the game in 5 mins

Idk if it was just me but i had a lot of lag stutters. Crashed 4 times too, luckily only 1 was in the middle of a run.

So, a few things I've done to help beat this faster.
The #1 thing: In the beginning of the game they want you to have your brightness low (I guess for effect), but IGNORE this and make it bright! This will help you see things MUCH easier!
#2: On level 2 before you enter the flashlight room, notice the wall in front of you (the wall straightaway off the elevator). If there in a 4 on the wall then that means door #4 in the morgue is the one to use. If there is no number then use door #2. This theory worked 90% of the time (I think 18 of the 20 times it worked). Regardless, it will ALWAYS be one of those 2 doors.
#3: In the sewer level, if the person cuts in front of you running to the right (in the beginning) then go left.
#4: Alternate between sprinting and hopping. I've seen people refer to this as "bunny hop." It makes you move quicker and regenerates your sprint while hopping.
Hope you fine these useful! Good luck!
Ps, why did they have to make it 20 times!?

Yeah 10 times would of been nice. Blah putting this off for now a little grindy.

Agree, how about 500 times?
By Taipei Kindom on 17 Mar 2019 20:42
This is time-based. You have to escape 20 times to get this. Since getting out is a race, you need to be able to traverse the entire course in under around 8 minutes.
The maze is randomized. However, you do not need to be #1 after the hospital. I'm always #2 and I still escape.
The key is to learn the way the maze works. Follow the red wires for the first two floors, then avoid any biomass in the sewers. Once in the sewers, the exit will always be near the steam pipes, although you may have to go up the small staircase. Look for the Exit signs.
Best of luck!

You never played Ben-Hur.

Had a couple of achvs glitch on me during my first run. I played on Win10 (risky, I know).
Was relieved to see this pop right on time.
Would've probably had to pick up smoking otherwise...😬

While the solutions above give good general ideas, they don't specifically go over the possible paths that could go on in the run. This solution assumes you know the basics of the game (how to solve all puzzles, follow the red wire, hold RT when available, etc.)
If you want to save the most time with as little reading as possible, skip to Part 3: Sewers. This will give you a solution to each of the 4 possible mazes, which will save you at least 30-60 seconds each run.
I made an Imgur album showing the possible paths that will save you time in each section once you are able to identify the differences: One Leaves Paths Guide with Pictures
I will also have links to the pictures down below as needed for description purposes.
Part 1: School
There are two possibles paths once you go out of the first tube: the left path and the right path.
School Left Path : At the fork, you have the option to go straight or to the right. Take the right path first, then take the other path. This is the faster of the 2 possible paths.
School Right Path: At the fork you have the option to go straight or to the right. Take the straight path first, then take the other path. This path is the slower of the 2 possible paths, but if you get the library before the "turn around" puzzle, you won't lose more than 15 seconds total.
Part 2: Hospital
There are 3 possible morgue setups (the room with the numbers 1-4 on the doors) that will depend on how well lit the crawlspace is when you open the doors (it's always either door 2 or door 4). However, while the doors are random, how to identify these cases is not.
You will either have a short trip to the morgue or a long trip to the morgue. If the morgue is in front of you once you go up the stairs following the red wire, that is a short trip. If the morgue is not there, you will have a long trip to the morgue, which will lose you about 15-20 seconds per run. In the short trip, you will always have a well lit path, but for the long trip, you will either have a dimly lit path (with a slight decline) or a poorly lit path (the one that looks like a black square).
Morgue Well Lit Path: You are looking for an entrance that has an incline, a black square, and a bright line around the black square, like shown in the picture. If these requirements aren't met, you will lose time.
Morgue Dimly Lit Path: You are looking for an entrance with a slight decline and decent lighting. If neither of these requirements are met, try the next solution.
Morgue Poorly Lit Path: In this final case, both paths look EXACTLY the same, where they both are too dark to tell which is the right path. In this case, it has always been door 2 for me. If this is wrong (it may be), then this is the only path that is RNG based and has no real solution.
Part 3: Sewer
There are 2 possible endings with the sewer: Ending 1 and Ending 2, and I have based them off of what I see to my left once I fall down the hole.
Ending 1: Diseased Mouth Ending: I use this as the first ending for future reference because it has a more recognizable trait: it's where you got the "Diseased Mouth" achievement. If you see this red tissue on the left once you fall down the hole, use my Ending 1 mazes.
Ending 2: No Diseased Mouth Ending: I use this as the second ending for future reference. If you do not see the red tissue to the left, but see this well lit opening, use my Ending 2 mazes.
I will now present the pictures for maze identification as well as the solution for the maze. This will come after you enter the door with the "EXIT" signs all around it.
Ending 1: Maze 1: If you see this body bag with a red background, USE THIS SOLUTION AT EACH FORK:
RIGHT, LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT
Ending 1: Maze 2: If you see this body bag with a yellow background, USE THIS SOLUTION AT EACH FORK:
LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT, LEFT, LEFT
Ending 2: Maze 1: If you see that the left path has an opening, USE THIS SOLUTION AT EACH FORK:
LEFT, LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT
Ending 2: Maze 2: If you see that the left path has a red, tissue like opening, USE THIS SOLUTION AT EACH FORK:
RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT, LEFT
To summarize paths based on time (this is RNG and you can't do anything about it):
School Left Path (FASTER), School Right Path (SLOWER)
Short Morgue Path (FASTER), LONG MORGUE PATH (SLOWER)
Sewer Ending 1 (FASTER), Sewer Ending 2 (SLOWER).
If any more clarification is needed, let me know and I can update the solution accordingly.

You must complete a playthrough in first place 20 times. The game only contains 3 levels. Remember, you can use RT to run. The consensus is that you need to complete a playthrough in under 8 minutes to get first place. The level setup for each level is randomized for each playthrough, therefore, there is no set path that I can provide you, so the following are a few tips:
Level 1(School)
Always follow the red wires. From the beginning you should have two red wires together, that once you get upstairs, will split in two directions.
One wire leads to a hallway that states, "Turn Around" on the wall and a voice over that asks you if it looks familiar. As soon as you hear the voice over, turn around and run back down the hallway. A switch will have now appeared on a wall. Hit the switch and turn back around and run down the hallway.
Follow the second cable to the Library. Open the bookcase in front of you, then open the second book case in front of you. Immediately turn right and run to the wall. Once at the wall, turn left and you will find a portalish looking cloud. Walk into it, which will cause all the bookshelves to rise revealing an exit.
Run back to the first floor and to the exit. The game will always say you are in 2nd or 3rd place.
Level 2 (Hospital
You will first enter a room with 3 switches. Always activate the 1st and 3rd switch. This will cause the iron lung to open behind you, revealing a flashlight. Pickup the flashlight and the gate will open.
Always make an immediate left when you walk out of the gate. Follow the red cable up the stair to your left. There are two different setups for the upstairs.
The first will have the morgue directly in front of you at the top of the stairs, the other has a long winding hallway. The morgue door selection is always number 2 or 4. If the morgue was the one directly in front of the stairs, the morgue freezers will be lit up inside and you can look in. Take the one that immediately goes in a downward direction. If you got the morgue with the long hallway, the freezers will be pitch black, and you have to take a lucky guess between freezer door 2 or 4.
Once you take the correct freezer, it will drop you off in a room with a switch, flip the switch and go out the gate. Always make an immediate left out the gate and proceed to the exit. Again the game will always say you in 2nd or 3rd place.
Level 3 (Sewer)
Immediately run forward and jump down the sewer hole. There will be 5 different possible entrances to choose from to get to the sewer maze. Always choose the one that you can see directly down the hallway with a handrail at the end with a large gray garbage bag on the ground.
There are two different types of mazes, but both have the same concept. You will have to make 5-6 left or right choices. If you see biological growth on a wall, you went the wrong way, turn around and run the opposite direction.
Run to the exit and interact with the door. I averaged 6 minutes per playthrough. Attached is a video of my playthrough in under 6 minutes using all the tips I provided.

This game is heavily RNG based, so you will not find this on each run, but you can actually "skip" the first two levels (or at least reduce the time down to about one minute per level) if the RNG plays in your favor.
In some runs you will see both of these glitch opportunities, in some you'll see one, and in some you'll see neither. In any case, these are time savers and can reduce a speedrun down to about ~5 minutes if they are both successfully executed. Given that 21 runs of this will take you anywhere from 2 to 3 hours, this can be handy timesaver.
Level 1
Go through the first door and vent as per usual, and then run into the exit room. If the right hand side looks like the below, jump beyond the pile of wrecked furniture into the empty spot behind it, and then jump back out. The gates will magically open.
If the right hand side has stacked up chairs up against the wall, you will not be able to exploit the skip, but it is worth while running through the level anyway (see other solutions for this achievement for Level 1 tips). In my experience I was able to get 20 out of 20 speedruns in a row even when not coming first in either of the first two levels (as long as you finish 2nd or better, you'll be fine.)
Level 2
Proceed through the hallway and activate the left and right power levers, and grab the torch. Once the door opens, run into the exit room. If the hospital furniture looks like this on the right hand side of the gate:
Run and jump onto the bed with the white mattress. Being able to clip onto the bed is also heavily random: in some attempts you'll jump up first go; other attempts you may need to jump while wiggling around a bit before you finally get up onto the bed. Once you successfully get on top of the bed, jump over the various beds/bassinets/etc to the gap between the gate and the wall - you can just walk on through and to the exit.

Just one more thing adding to the both of the solutions above, and I read it in the comments:
DackTe is very right, and I don't know why I haven't thought about this - bunnyhopping always works great in bad games.
While sprinting, jump, and while in air, let go of the sprint button - you will keep the momentum while your stamina regenerates. Press sprint once again your character has landed; keep doing this all the time - profit!
It takes a moment to master, but really saves time once you do.

I made a video how to get through the maze as quick as possible.
Just play the Maze 20 times and you get the achievement.
Just play the Maze 20 times and you get the achievement.
The entire game is time based from the time you start until you get to the hallway and can see the door. It's my understanding the basic threshold for successful completion is under around 10 minutes which after around 1 or 2 completions should be a breeze. Here is a quick video of me explaining exactly how to speedrun through this as simply as possible.
This solution elaborates more on sjpsjpsjp's solution in video form. This solution will save you as much time as possible & will net you this achievement in about an hour.

General Tips: Be prepared to reset many times throughout this run, there is only one ideal route which you have about a 16% chance of getting. Also it is of note that if you are playing on the PC version sprint jumping has to be done by quickly alternating between shift and space, however this will be required for a good time.
School: For the first section at the door before the timer starts, look to see if the wall around the door has been damaged or marked. If so reset and try again, the only route that allows for the skip is the one without a damaged wall. Follow the path as normal until you get out of the vent, then head straight for the exit door, when you get there there will be a stack of boxes forming a ramp on the left, go there and sprint up it until you're over and behind it. Run slightly ahead then exit the same way you got in. The door should automatically open, head through it to the elevator.
Hospital: When the elevator opens if there is a sign on the wall directly in front of you reset, as there is no way to glitch through that path, if there is no sign continue on. When you reach the room pull the first and third levers in front of you, then turn around to the iron lung behind you to grab the flashlight. After grabbing the flashlight, run to the door and wait for it to open, when it does, run towards the gurney near the exit and sprint up the middle/right side of the end of it until you glitch onto it (some may need to back up and run from there, this may cause you to get stuck in an area with no exit, at that point reset). Then proceed past the exit through the small hole in between the gate and the wall. Run down the stairs and when you reach a zig-zag area, go around the fence then run up the the stack of desks and shelves in front of you by going up the most prominent chair. After going over that, head to the elevator.
Sewers: Run through to the hole in the floor and drop down there, if you have any other route that doesn't lead you past the first hallway, into a room with a large hole in the middle, to the right, then left, then right, then left, then a hall to the left into stairs leading up to a hallway, reset as it will not be fast enough. Continuing through the hallway maze it can be one of two routes,1. right, left, left, right, right, and 2. left, right, right, left, left. Take the 2nd if there is tar on the ground to the right after coming up the stairs. After this hit the door and complete your run.
