How to unlock the Hurricane achievement in Overwatch 2 - Definitive Guide

Guaranteed Legendary Invincibility Room Strategy (Story Version)

This achievement and event in general is thankfully much easier than the previous two years. I’ll try and keep this as short as possible, breaking up the mission into parts so you can skip ahead if you feel your team has already conquered certain areas, but the most difficult part to me is the distillery warehouse. We were one of the first teams on TA to complete this, and thanks to my strategy that I found, the final part with the 2 Heavies is cake.

-Beginning Road Area: The first section isn’t very bad at all, and is generally just a check to see if everyone knows what they’re doing. Push up the street and as Winston I found it was pretty easy to jump at enemies as long as Mercy was healing me, soaking up Enforcer damage and moving in and out of my bubble shield to deal with them. The Sniper at the distillery entrance isn’t too bad, either. We generally went towards the building at left side of this area, or stayed behind the yellow truck directly across from that same entrance.

-Distillery Warehouse: For the distillery section, we went up top to the catwalk area directly above the payload truck. This area was mostly safe except for having to watch out for Enforcers that will walk up from both sides. Best strategies for these guys in general is have Genji deflect them or Tracer throw her ult mines. You want your team to focus them ASAP. For Snipers have Genji use his deflect and Mercy use her pistol on heal downtime. For Winston since you don’t have a lot of range just keep up your bubble and dispatch anything that comes close to your group while they deal with everything else. And then of course for Assassins, make sure to call them out when they spawn and just bunch up on one another, melee’ing them as soon as they pounce one of you, then dumping all of your damage into them.

-Distillery Warehouse Heavy Fight: So when this guy drops you’re gonna want to avoid most of the open “window” areas in the catwalk. Try and maintain kiting him clockwise around the entire distillery. When he gets close, move to the next room area, whether that be one of the many hallways or that room above the entrance to the distillery that has only one staircase. When you all are moving take advantage of this teams mobility to get into cover quick, having Winston drop bubble shields to cover your escape (preferably in doorways to just temporarily block his line of fire. Just don’t leave your Mercy behind! Try to keep her in sight so she can fly to you. If he happens to break his kite route, just jump down into the middle area and run to either the catwalk above the payload, or the room with the one stairwell above the entrance. This is the hardest part of the entire mission, so once this is done, you’re pretty much in my opinion home free.

-Payload Push: Now one thing you can take advantage of here is the payload has no health and there’s no time limit. Slowly push the payload having everyone stay near it, dealing with Enforcers. When you get to the corner, Snipers will spawn at the Sea Fort. At this point the little building across the Fort opens up. Our strategy was to run into the building here, and slowly peak out and whittle down the Snipers. The room we favored here is the open door directly across from the Fort entrance. Once they were dead, push the payload to the door of the Fort. This spawns an Assassin. Run back to building and bunch up to deal with her using the warehouse strategy. Once you park the payload, run back to the building, but this time, run into the SIDE DOOR. You’ll know why very soon. wink

-Sea Fort Fight/Twin Heavy Showdown: Old patched method

The best way to do this now is to bring the heavies back to the distillery and carefully kite them together. This video shows the best route to deal with this. Make sure Genji deflects, Tracer uses pulse bomb, and Mercy uses her pistol when able to maximize DPS on the heavies.

Mission complete! If I’m not clear on anything please let me know in the comments. Good luck. toast

Thanks to my team: Demonspawn2714 (Tracer), Star1ord89 (Genji), Kimilou19 (Mercy)

Well I just played multiple Legendary runs (Story and All Heroes) and the god room was open on each Story mode run. However, I played a few All Heroes games and the room didn't open on any of them, but that could just be unlucky RNG. It did the same thing last night but we ended up getting the god room to open on my successful All Heroes run. My advice is to just get in as many runs as you can just in case.

Michel, the soldiers sometimes don’t kick open the doors to the building to come outside in All Heroes. My theory is because this version has randomized spawns. I never had that issue in Story though.

So I also looked at that Reddit post. It seems people took advantage of the doors not opening and would hide up on that second floor, so they patched the doors and made them properly open now.

That actually helps my strategy a lot, because when they wouldn’t open that would screw us over seeing as the room is in the building next to this one (the side door).

Yeah so was finally able to test this today. Between all of the possible PvE missions and difficulties the community is super splintered for this. It doesn’t seem to work anymore. Next week when they release this mission for the new achievements I’ll figure out a new strategy that I can apply to this solution. The best way now most likely is to kite them around the entire fort (from under the bridge going counter clockwise, all the way to the top of the cliff to drop back down).

To be fair, there are easier ways to do some of the sections. This was our only Legendary attempt. We ran through Hard once, then Expert once, getting an idea of what we felt most comfortable with.

I figure I'd offer a bit of advice as a solution since it's too much for a comment for this on top of everything listed in the other solutions as the mode has changed a bit with nerfs and stuff;

- use Tracer's ult constantly. it destroys enforcers (it's quite surprising how much damage it does) but also more importantly use it on the heavy assaults it will stun them for about 3 seconds and you can basically get to 40-50% ULT back if you unload with critical hits in that time. also helps to have Mercy buff Tracer when this happens. sidenote: use winston's ult almost exclusively on crowd control.

- Genji handles snipers with a deflect and 1 burst to the head while being buffed by Mercy, it's useless to have Mercy use her gun. for the 4 snipers at the end the little hole in the battlement on the left side directly from the bridge in the fort is where he can kill all 4 snipers quickly. have winston and tracer stand outside on add duty. (occasionally checking on genji's ass to see if an add rushes him)

- for the double heavy assaults take the first one and bait him in to the building directly across the bridge (the one the assassin perks on when she spawns on her first teleport) go upstairs and he'll try and follow you up there, try and hold off there until the second HA spawns and dashes towards you, once this happens instantly go out and return to the distillery. you cycle from the room above where you very first entered the distillery (after the very first section) with 1 staircase leading up, around through the small corridor on your left if you're facing the payload direction and back all the away around, through the middle, back to the room, you can shoot the heavy assaults in the corridor (have someone keep an eye behind you for adds), from the middle, from the staircase and from the room. I can not stress how important that is, we got sandwiched by the HA's constantly late af in to the cycles.

also when cycling the HA's take your time. don't get greedy unless you're waiting for the 2nd one to catch up and you have him in a protected spot to unload a little and he's stunned by Tracer's ult, even if he's on a sliver of HP left and HA 2 is coming up don't bother trying to kill (maybe when waiting for it to catch up) but if one person goes down you could be screwed.
