How to unlock the To Affinity & Beyond achievement in Project Cars - Definitive Guide
Go to your driver network profile and look bottom middle. There will be number of races in each class and number of wins in each class. Make sure you have more than 51% wins in each class. 1 win from 1 race is fine. If you have done 100 races in a class I suspect you will need 51 or 52 wins. Single lap, single player quick races work to increase your win ratio.
The achievement says greater than 50%. I needed 54 wins from 104 races in karts before the achievement popped.

You can just delete you save like the 5% achievement and then just win one race in each class .much faster if you have already a bunch of races done on one class

If you jump to the end of the race before the lights come, it counts as a win. Did the achievement this way in less than 5 minutes.

1. You need a word of warning abou this achievement. Game counts all race attempts as races driven, if you for example play on higher diff setting, restarted a race like 10 - 20 times after crashes etc. you will end up with much more races to drive to get 50% win ratio...
Because of this I ended up with over 500 races driven in gokarts and have to win hundreads of them to get progress bard to >50% wins ratio.
2. If grinding this in quick race weekend backing out to main menu after each race is not necessary, you can just restart race after you finish it.

This should either be one of the very first achievements you aim for in the game before even touching career mode or one of, if not the very last one. If this is one of your first achievements and you have played none or very little of career skip ahead.
For those of you who have played through the career and this is one of your remaining achievements there is a very simple way to get it done without doing tons of races to make up for all those restarts that you needed through career mode. Simply go to your game management and erase all save data for Project CARS.
Once you start the game up again you will have a clean slate with no races recorded so now all you need to do is get a single win with a car in each racing discipline.
In the main menu go to Quick Weekend Race and go with the following settings
Event Length - Laps
Number of Laps - 1
Number of Opponents - 1
Type of Opponents - Identical
Opponent Skill - 0
Grid Position - Player Custom
Custom Grid Position - 1
Rolling Start - No
Once that's done you want to select the following track depending on your vehicle
125cc/250cc Kart - Glencairn
All Other Cars - Cadwell Woodland
Both are easy tracks and Cadwell can be done in about 40-60 seconds depending on your car class.
Cars I went with for each class are as follows
Prototype - Alpine A450
GT - Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3
Road - BAC Mono
Stock Car - Caper Monterey Stockcar
Touring - Ford Escort Mk1RS1600
Open Wheel - Formula B
Simply win a 1 lap race with each car type which will give you 100% affinity for each discipline. As soon as you complete the last race and return to the menu the achievement should unlock,

I just wanted to add on my experience as I had some problems with getting this achievement and how I quickly figured out a way to make wins consistent.
So, I used TA's walkthrough regarding this achievement, but I was getting inconsistent results using Skip to End of Session in the pause menu after the light turns green, because you can't screw up the launch. The skip to end of session option won't automatically give you the win. It takes into account current position and the state of your vehicle, etc. So if you get a bad launch and the AI gets ahead of you, then the skip session isn't going to catch you up every time. It's the equivalent of two computers racing each other, but you're just fast forwarding to the end.
But first, what I recommend, is to go to the race options, change it to one opponent, 2 laps, AI difficulty to 1, and set it to where the player starts in the pole position. I had better results with two laps because it gives your vehicle time to distance itself once the game has finished simulating the race.
Now for the solution. What we want to do is give our vehicles the best start possible so the game can simulate the race with our vehicles in the lead from the get-go. Just skip the cinematic and hit pause when the camera sets itself behind the vehicle. You'll notice that the Skip to End of Session option is locked. It won't unlock until the light turns green. So, instead, select Simulate Remainder of Session. This turns our vehicles into AI drivers for the entire race, which is important because the AI is pretty consistent on the launch and we get the lead because of the pole position option we set.
So, after you select Simulate, you should see that the Skip to End of Session option unlocks even though the light hasn't turned green yet. Now, you can select it to skip to the end. For me, it made getting wins more consistent, but I did have the occasional loss, maybe 1 out of 10. If you feel you are getting more than a couple random losses with this method, what you can do is Simulate, then exit the menu, let the vehicles launch, and wait about 5-7 seconds for the AI to distance itself from the opponent, then Skip.
Sorry for the long post, but if something isn't clear, just let me know in the comments and I'll try to tidy it up.

Your "affinity" is your win/loss ratio, so I would recommend trying to do this trophy early on. Especially since any restarted races DO count towards your races entered. Also note the trophy description is to achieve an affinity greater than 50%.
There are 7 car classes, and the affinity for each can be found on your profile (press R1 on the main menu):
Kart
GT
Road
Touring
Prototype
Open Wheel
American Stock Car
All of these classes can be raced during the career except for American Stock Car, which you will have to race via Quick Race Weekend (or you can do this for all classes). I would recommend Oschersleben C, which is only 0.68 miles long and is a pretty easy circuit, setting the laps and opponents to 1. You can even tweak the difficulty to make this super easy.

If you follow the walkthrough, this should be your first achievement in the game. The reason for this is because it gets harder to achieve the more races you do. Effectively, you have to win two races with each car class. Refer to the walkthrough for track settings and what cars to use.
Your Affinity is basically your Win/Loss ratio for each car class. In order to earn this trophy, you will need to have won at least half of all the events that you have entered for each class. You can check your class Affinity in your Driver Network Profile. The 7 Classes required to earn this trophy are:
- Kart
- GT
- Road
- Touring
- Prototype
- Open Wheel
- American Stock Car
The first 6 of these disciplines can be encountered throughout the Career, however the American Stock Car will have to be done in Quick Race Weekend. Simply load up an easy track like Oschersleben C Circuit, followed by selecting the Caper Monterey Stock car and winning the race.
