You need to complete chapter 3 for this achievement.
I order to do so you need to complete the following tasks:
Save Simon. (Go to the Quarry through the field and after that take a right turn) Drop the log and cross the gap. Go past the swamp (with the monster) and enter the quarry.
You can’t enter the quarry but you can use the rocks to climb to the control center to move the bridge. (Take fuse from closed gate at start of quarry and use in fusebox)
After cut-scene with Hobgoblin go to the tree and shoot the yellow metal pieces of the tree and releasing the Hobgoblin.
He’ll free Simon.
When you’re Simon take the wheel and the dwarven evidence from the camp and run upstairs through the previously closed gate and to the forest.
After your run you must cross the swamp with the monster. Just feed him 10 goblins and you can cross. I lured the goblins (3 of them) to the monster. The monster grabbed me and then I used left-stick to get free. Because the goblins followed you 2/3 get eaten. Rince and repeat untill you can pass.
After that you must kill the goblins and escort Simon to the safety of the mansion.
Then you must use Mallory to defeat Redcap. He must be defeated twice to continue with the main story.
Then you must burn the field guide. To do so you’ll need a firesalamander. To get a salamander you’ll need a gun. To make the gun Simon uses the items in the house and two outside. The hose is in near the big birdhouses and the duct tape is in the garage which you couldn’t enter previously. After completing the gun get the slamander near the garage and go to the barrel near the house. Use the salamander on barrel and voila...achievement unlocked.
