How to unlock the Non-Lethal Force achievement in STAR WARS: Bounty Hunter - Definitive Guide

All credit goes to staylost. I figured I'd help you guys out by sharing his 100% walk through. (The walk through is about 5 years old at the time of this post but all bounties and secrets are in the same spot or close enough)

Hopefully this walk through helps

FYI this achievement is not easy by any means, towards the final chapters capturing the bounties and then surviving does become a challenge. Take your time with these, some levels might require a few play throughts.

Thank you to @Reaper R66 for informing us of this. You have to capture all the bounties alive before you finish the mission. You cannot replay and only capture the ones you missed.

You have to CAPTURE every bounty alive. If someone is wanted dead and you kill them, it won’t count even if you collect the bounty.

On the Level Complete Screen, it will tell you the total amount of bounties you collected during the mission and how many of them you captured.

As an example in mission 6, you are supposed to capture 2 bounties and kill 3 to get the max number of credits. The level end screen will say you collected 5 bounties but only captured 2.

For this achievement, you have to take in everyone alive, even if that means earning less credits.

Did this glitch for anyone else? Played through the whole game collecting every bounty only to find the tracker showing 83% despite the level select screen showing them all collected.

@PaperCircle Thanks for the clarification, guess I’ll have to go collect them all again…

This is going to be very irritating to get, I've had a number of these guys commit suicide either by walking off an edge, dodging off an edge, or walking into hazards, and Zam Wessel shot one at one point. Some of these times it's when I'm undetected and they all of a sudden think it's a good idea to not be taken, either dead or alive, so not only do I not get to capture them, I can't even scan their corpse for the credits because they've gone past a hard kill barrier. And since there's no checkpoint system (I understand earlier gen 6 games not having checkpoints, that's a thing of that era, but they really should have done SOME type of save system that isn't just finite amount of lives per section, that really doesn't have a place in modern games), I have to restart the whole level, which compounds irritation due to the someone later on in the level doing this. This game eluded me back in the day and I never had the chance to play it until now, so I'm not sure if anyone else experienced this on the original game, or if the remaster broke some pathfinding for NPCs. Granted 2002 era AI isn't spectacular so I wouldn't be surprised if this was in the original.

@IndigoSolace from my understanding this wad also an issue when the game originally came put. If it wasn't it definitely was a problem when it came out of the PS4 a few years ago. I'd suggest going along with the video and pausing your game and let him go ahead of you so you know exactly where the bounties are.

@littewolfE200 yeah that's what I've been doing since this has been up, but even then I'm still finding instances of a bounty not being there. For instance, I'm on level 3 of chapter 4 inside the factory (filled with numerous OSHA violations mind you), and I get to about the halfway point where I have to cross over a bunch of conveyors, and at the end there's a Dug that's a bounty. First time encountering, I was running over to tie him off and he decided to walk off before I could tie him up. Then the next time getting there (after crashing at the final boss...) that same Dug just wasn't there, even though I've scanned literally everyone there and nothing came up, so it's likely that he just fell off whenever that area loaded in. It's getting frustrating for this, cause this is something that is entirely out of my control, not to mention that 4-3 is potentially the longest level so far. I'll get it one of these days, but man is it annoying lol

I'm cracking on this game, it's driving me crazy, last level of chapter 4, to get the hunts, either the guys fall into the void, or the game spits, I want to go insult the devs.

@IndigoSolace I know what you mean now. I hate this level with a passion. I do wish they'd patched that and make it a little easier

f you get for example 9 in one run can you then get the missing one? In factory there is a fool who always commits suicide, at least for me.

I’ve collected all Bounties every mission showing done and stuck at 98%. Give up on this I swear I’ll never buy a Asypr Game again.

If you go to the game stats screen on the main menu, the game will tell you how many bounties you have collected (dead or alive) in addition to how many you have taken specifically alive. I used these two stats to help me track how many alive bounties I had remaining. There are 150 in total to collect.

I also noticed upon replaying levels that it appears you have to recapture all bounties (in addition to any you missed the first time) or else the achievement tracker won't increase. I was only missing one bounty in two levels, but my stats didn't increase when I only captured the missing bounties alive.

So far chapter 5, level 2 is the most difficult for me. 13 or 14 restarts already and still going. 10/11 of those due to the last guy walking off the map before you even get over to him

It's ironic that this achievement forces you to capture them all alive instead of simply letting the player choose, because there are a few bounties where you ONLY GET PAID when the target is killed.

This is the hardest trophy in the game. What you have to do is finding every hidden bounty and use the cables "Whipcord" to subdue them and using to capture them. if you kill Any of the bounties you have to restart the level and try again to get it. The most annoying part of this is that a lot of the bounties are hard to get to or are put in huge firefights so are hard to distinguish one from the other. See here for a written Guide, courtesy of CyricZ: LINK. I recommend using this guide on your first playthrough as you can easily save 10 hours by doing so.

You can find your progress under the menu Game Status and for each individual mission under the Chapter selection screen. There are a total of 150 bounties you have to capture but chapter 6 has no bounties. You have to get all the bounties in one go per mission because if you miss one and end up with e.g. 9/10, then you must do all 9 again plus the one you missed. Note: You have to restart from the beginning of the mission with no progression if you die too often so make sure to memorize the levels and pick up an health you can, most deaths will be from falling and fall damage so get used to the controls.
