How to unlock the Immortal achievement in Talisman: Digital Edition - Definitive Guide

Requires a little luck, but using the Sentinel and avoiding cards that take life away from you, it can be done. Took me about 5 minutes. Here's how:

Start a local two-player game (base game only), set the House Rule "No Respawn" to checked, and set your opponent to Local Player as either Ghoul, Priest, Prophetess, Sorceress, or Wizard*. (*These characters spawn closest to the Sentinel and have the lowest Strength.) Pick a strength-based / combat character (like the Assassin) for yourself.

As you play your turns, avoid drawing adventure cards when you can. If you can end up landing somewhere that have lose-a-turn card on it (the Maze or Marsh, for instance), losing a turn is better than risking landing somewhere and getting mauled by a dragon or an event that pulls life from you. While you avoid death on your character's turn, do the opposite for your opponent: charge them into a space in the desert. The Sentinel will stop them at the bridge. Select Auto-Lose when combat starts. Once they are out of lives, the game will end -- and as long as your character hasn't stubbed their toe on anything in those 4 or 5 turns, you'll be set and bloop goes the achievement. Good luck!

This can be done locally by a single person playing a 2-human-player game.

The player getting the achievement plays the Assassin, and the other player chooses a low-strength character (I chose the Wizard).

Essentially, the wizard plays to lose lives quickly, and the Assassin plays safe and to attack (and assassinate) the Wizard as much as possible. The wizard should try to land on the assassin and attack to lose, visit the chapel, attack the sentinel, etc. to try and lose lives quickly. It's also a good idea for the wizard not to pick up any useful objects or followers, so that the Assassin has fewer opportunities to draw a card that might cost him a life.

As long as the wizard dies by any means before the Assassin loses any lives, the achievement should pop. I happened to get this while going for the the No Contest achievement for winning within 10 rounds.

Note that this is also a good method to grind the Battle Master (win the most battles), Strongest (have the highest strength), PvP Master (defeat the most players in combat), Trophy Master (take the most trophies), and Winner! (win the game 5 times) achievements.
