How to unlock the Salvation achievement in The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope - Definitive Guide

Saving all characters in Little Hope is a bit more complicated than simply keeping them alive in various scenarios against the Demons. All characters except Andrew have specific "traits" that determine whether they survive or die in the finale "Full Circle".

The most important decision lies in the finale "Full Circle" when deciding Mary's fate. Here's what you must do to convict Reverend Carver and save Mary:
- In the second visit to the Little Hope museum, pick up the Bible secret as Daniel/Taylor.
- During the finale as Andrew, pick "Enraged" and "Insistent"
Abraham will whisper something to Judge Wyman and Carver's Bible will be exposed to the court.

Here's a breakdown of overall actions and important choices to make per character:
The specific choices I list below (Where I mention MAKE SURE) appear to HEAVILY influence a character surviving or dying in the finale.

Taylor (Bearing: Team Taylor):
- Choose actions that lead Taylor to stick with the group and not strike off on her own
- Taylor must survive her encounters with her Demon, hit the QTE's to make sure this happens.
- In "Reflections" when Taylor is fighting off her Demon, MAKE SURE you pick "Heroic" when Daniel attempts to help

Daniel (Bearing: Home Grown Hero):
- Choose actions that lead Daniel to be more heroic, such as picking up the knife in the museum, standing up for Taylor and others and actively helping fight Demons
- Daniel must must survive his encounters with his Demon, hit the QTE's to make sure this happens.
- In "Ruined" when Daniel is being pulled up by Andrew with the pipe MAKE SURE you pick "Reassuring"

Angela (Bearing: Deeper Understanding):
- Choose actions that lead Angela to be more understanding of the others, being nicer to others
- Angela must survive her encounters with her Demon, hit the QTE's to make sure this happens. Make sure to help Angela over John as Andrew when you first encounter Angela's Demon on the shore underneath the bridge. Make sure to help Angela as John in "Heavy Burden" when given the option to "Help" or "Run".
- In "Heavy Burden" when hurrying John along as the Demons appear MAKE SURE you pick "Reassuring"

John (Bearing: Authority Figure):
- Choose actions that lead John to be the leader of the group, such as taking point on the ruined bridge, and confronting Mary on the covered bridge
- John must survive his encounter with his Demon in "Heavy Burden", hit the QTE's to make sure this happens.
- In "Heavy Burden" when blocking the door from his Demon, MAKE SURE you pick "Heroic"

Andrew (Bearings: Lost, Tools for Survival):
- Choose actions that lead the entire cast to be nice to Vince, such as not accepting the drink in the bar, not shooting the Demon behind Vince in "Surrounded", hitting the QTE's and Heartbeat minigames when the group mistake Vince for a Demon, and convincing Vince to try and get help at the Church doors. If Vince thinks Andrew is crazy he will have Andrew arrested at the end of the game.
- As long as you finish the game with another survivor other than Andrew, having the gun at the ending does not influence Andrew's death.

The achievement will pop after the House of Ashes teaser.

Comment if I have missed something crucial so I can amend this solution.

Thanks for the guide!

Has anyone tried to save scum to get some of the other ending achievements?

Absolutely can, my other solutions I posted for the other endings were adapted from my playthrough where I saved everyone, usually starting at "Reflections" which isnt very far from the end of the game.

not shooting the Demon behind Vince in "Surrounded"
The Surrounded scene starts immediately after this; Vince is already angry at the start of this scene if you shot the demon near him.
The scene where you bump in to Vince running towards the church and have a chance to shoot at Taylor's demon is at the end of Pursued.

I actually got this one on my first playthrough. One thing I'm trying to understand....when you save Mary, she'll hug Andrew saying"I'll never forget you all my days, you saved me" to which Andrew replies "but I didn't save you" As the house fire is in the future, I take he means that. The curator says in the beginning " the fires already happened...or has it?" It seems there should be a way to save characters future pain. For if that's what you're supposed to have done, why does Andrew always say "but I didn't save you" this intrigues me..I feel you should be able to stop him saying this.

This is basically the inverse of the No Escaping Fate trophy, and there are multiple moving parts to worry about. There will be four instances in the game where the characters will need to choose to act bravely, which will also "save" that character and earn the associated trophy. They are as follows:

1. Taylor needs to tell Daniel to save himself while being dragged away outside the factory
2. Daniel needs to tell Andrew to let him go while being pulled out of the pit
3. Angela needs to urge John to hurry outside of the ruined house
4. John needs to tell everyone to run while he's holding the door of the ruined house shut

You'll also need to leave things with Vince on good terms. When you arrive at the church, you'll interact with him. Don't shoot your gun, but if you do, either let him in the church or convince him to get help. Finally, during the flashbacks, don't blame Mary for what's happening, and during the final flashback, expose Carver as the one responsible (see Forgiveness). With all of this done, the game should end with everyone free and the trophy should unlock.

To get the trophy, when characters in the clutches of demons have the choice to ask for help or cope on their own, choose the second.

The above clue is not enough for everyone to survive. At the end you will be able to make 3 choices. One of them leads to the death of everyone except Andrew, the second canonical one requires finding secret #32 and the last option can lead to the death of any character if the character has 2 or more blocked negative character traits

Whenever you have a choice, choose to fight the demons alone. Don't try to fight them with your friends. Let them go and face the demon yourself each time;
Make sure Carver is convicted of witchcraft and not Mary.

The trophy drops only after watching all the credits and the trailer for the next game. No passes. Until everything ends and the main menu appears

When Andrew is about to shoot at a dark silhouette in the forest with a revolver, you need to choose the “lower weapon” option for John, otherwise Angela will die

Through trial and error I found the right way. All events are described in chronological order.

Yes, play through the game to your heart's content before reading this guide!!!

Do not take a pistol or knife during the game!

We start with the chapter “The Broken Bridge” , because the influence on the life or death of the characters begins precisely from this chapter.
First monster attack after crossing the bridge. Save John! Angela complete the QTE.
In Angela's second encounter with the monster, complete the QTE.

With Daniel, we pick up the Bible in the museum and examine it (you can take it after Taylor’s vision, leaving the room, against the wall opposite) in order to blame the priest at the end of the game.

Taylor and Daniel in the chapter “Main Road” after the vision must “escape” from the monster by completing all QTEs.

Don't open the door to the church for a grimy guy in a cap ! Answers: "Frivolity", "uncertainty", "pressure"

When the heroes leave the church, a monster will attack Daniel. Select the answer "resist" . Complete all QTEs. For Taylor, choose the answer "left" . Next, the monster will attack Taylor. Complete all QTEs. Andrew helps Taylor. Complete all QTEs. In the next attack, the monster will want to undermine Taylor’s health. Daniel chooses the answer “follow the movement” . In turn, for Taylor, complete all QTEs and choose the answer “heroism” . Complete all QTEs.

At the factory, Daniel and Andrew throw off the box to move on. Daniel falls down. A monster attacks him. For Andrew, select the answer “help” . Complete the QTE for Daniel. For Andrew, choose the answer “come on” .

In front of the burnt house there will be the last attack of the monster after the vision. Angela and John complete the QTE. Playing as John help Angela. After the heroes run into the house and John rests his back against the door, choose the answer “leave me.”
Here's the last chapter. At the trial, do not forget to blame the priest. If everything was done correctly, then Andrew’s double will present to the judge as evidence the Bible that should have been taken from the museum.

All that's left to do is watch the happy ending and get the trophy!
