How to unlock the Thespian achievement in The Hand of Merlin - Definitive Guide

This requires a bit of planning but isn't too hard, the first few runs you will think it's going to be impossible, but once you get used to the mechanics of the game, most runs I was doing this in 2 rounds.

The key is making sure you can move across the map as quickly as possible.   My trophy run, I ended up doing it in 2 turns and didn't get the skills I wanted!  I was trying to get haste and charges so I could cover ground quickly.    I went with 3 warriors purely to out-muscle everything, Tariq, Zahra and Safir.    Used Merlin's core and had Teleport (very important!), Stasis, and Starfire (also important!).  It's super important to start with 5 mana.

As an example, I've listed the skills below and bolded the important ones.  When leveling up choose the bonus in the following priority order:  Power, Move, Evasion, Armor.   And focus on getting swords over armor, the strategy in most fights here is to buff up and end the fight quickly.  If you do get armor from an encounter put it on Tariq as he is the weakest.

One thing I struggled in this run was with Mandrakes and them exploding dealing health damage.  Try and get at least one staggering blow so you can finish them and have them pushed away.

Tariq:  Gritting Slash, Carving Cleave, Relentless Rage, War Bellow - last 2 skills are both 0AP so great buffs at the start.  Level 4 Bastard Sword, Level 2 Scale Mail.  Artifact was Roland's Horn of Subduing.

Zahra: Gritting Slash, Driven Wind, Rampage+ (crucial for extra AP), Far Charge (crucial to get to boss quickly).  Level 3 Bastard Sword, Level 1 Scale Mail.   Artifact was Carnwennan.

Safir: Gritting Slash, Brace, Long Hook+, War Cry. Level 3 Bastard Sword, Level 2 Plate Mail.  Artifact was Blood Talisman.
  1. Strategy was Tariq War Bellow first to buff everyone.
  2. Send Zahra charging into the boss.
  3. Cast the Grail spell on boss.
  4. Teleport Tariq to mob at top and use his rage then cleave.
  5. Slash at whichever enemy nearest Tariq has the most life.
  6. Finish the boss off with Zahra's rampage granting her an extra AP and your charge skill should be available again. All other hero skills reduce cooldown by 1 so we get Tariqs skills back.
  7. Charge down to bottom mob with Zahra and smash into the nearest one.
  8. Use the Carnwennan for a bit of extra damage.
  9. Safir runs to the left as far as he can from 1AP and then uses hook to pull the nearest Mandrake in.
  10. Hit him as many times as you can - if you have other 0 cost defensive moves they are brilliant with Safir as it's free hits.
  11. I then used Roland's horn to stagger them all.
  12. End the turn.
  13. Second round, depending on the placement of where the enemies have moved to, if you are lucky you can Starfire 2 of them which should kill them or super close!
  14. Then it's just a matter of running around finishing them off which if you can't quite do in this round, then you still have one more round you can tidy up in.
  15. If someone needs help finishing off an enemy, use teleport to send Safir, hopefully if you have some 0AP skills he can destroy whomever it is.
Good luck!
