How to unlock the Satisfaction Guaranteed achievement in Total War: THREE KINGDOMS - Definitive Guide
You'll probably get this naturally, but it can be a bit annoying to farm this. I'm not sure if auto-resolve duels count, but even if it does, in my experience most cases end with my character losing the duel even when they should have won by a very large margin (looking at you Lu Bu, losing against generic character number 529). The AI often will not want to fight a duel against a character they know will lose against, which tends to be the case between a unique character vs a generic. They also weigh faction leaders much higher and will usually not use them to duel either.
If you need to farm this in battles, I recommend finding a lower rank sentinel character. Sentinels gets Tenacity of Steel, which increases their damage the longer they're engaged in a fight including duels and a skill to increase their and their nearby allies' melee evasion. Champions can also work, but they have basically active damage skills with cooldowns rather than a constant buff. I don't particularly recommend vanguards or commanders for this, and strategists can't do it even if you wanted them to (you don't, trust me). You can support your dueling character with other sentinels, strategists, or commanders. Generic strategists can decrease allied general cooldowns while also increasing enemy general cooldowns (to the point of preventing them from ever using the skill if you can keep them close), sentinels have the melee evasion skill from earlier, and commanders have a better version of the melee evasion skill albeit with a longer cooldown. These all work on generals engaged in a duel, so you can park them right outside the duel and have them re-apply the skills as needed. If you have a bandit champion, I think they get a healing skill that also increases melee evasion, particularly helpful for dueling. There may be other unique skills from unique characters that provide healing or other special effects, mix and match as you wish to maximize your own general's chances of success.
I haven't tried this, but I know it is possible to interrupt a duel with other units. This is supposed to apply a pretty big debuff on your own army, but it might be worth it to clinch the win. Again though, I don't know whether this screws up with the counter at all, so use at your own risk.
