How to unlock the Speedcuber achievement in Trials Fusion - Definitive Guide
I notice there are some early negative votes.
Please understand that i am sharing these achievement videos here
because people ask me to and i think people who are interested in picking up
new Trials DLC, want to know early on if there are any crazy hard achievements.
I happen to be an experienced player with a youtube channel, so its no problem for me to post it here. I am aware of the fact that this is not the greatest guide, so im sorry if this is not helpfull to you. Best tip i can give is practice, practice, practice.
Also pausing the game in the later rounds and watching my video to see wich obstacles are next could be a big help.
Original text:
You need to reach the 40th side of the cube.
So basicly get the score to 40 and the achievement will unlock.
This one is not that difficult, as you can see i got to 60 on my first attempt.
Just take it slow like i did, and slow down each time you get to the right hand side
so that you wont overshoot the next part. This is actually how i faulted, i got careless
and went a little too fast on number 60 and faceplanted like an idiot.
I used the Pit Viper bike for this.
If you have trouble you can use the Roach bike since that one is more stable.
Edit 2: I just tried the Roach and got to 53 with it. Roach definitely felt easier so if you have trouble with the Viper i suggest you switch. One thing to know about the Roach though is that the bike is heavier so make sure you go into most obstacles with a lot more gas. Subtlety is good for the Viper, apply some brute force with the Roach.
Edit 3: 30 is possibly the hardest obstacle from 1 to 40. If you have trouble i suggest you try jumping from the first ramp to the 2nd, stop and stabilize your bike and jump to the 3rd ramp with a bunny hop.
Bike: Pit Viper
You'll need to make it to Side 40 for this achievement to unlock which will take approximately 4 minutes, meaning this achievement is a combination of skill and endurance. It requires some skill but most riders should be able to complete it with enough practice and patience.
Tips:
- Practice, Practice, Practice.
- ALWAYS transition between faces SLOWLY
- Keep in mind that the cube is rotating, so the more time that passes, the more uphill you are going. Be generous with your throttle when doing obstacles as overshooting is much less of a problem than undershooting and falling short!
- If you do fail and need to reverse to reset your bike/rider, BE QUICK. The longer you take to reset, the more the cube rotates!
- Be consistent and most importantly focus on those bunny hops
- If you are struggling, take a break and coming back later tends to help many players
Once you reach the 40th side, the achievement unlocks.
I've created a video guide below which highlights the basic's of the level and show's in full the last 10 sides.
As has already been pointed out in previous guides there's a few main things to keep in mind when tackling this achievement.
-Patience. If you are capable of completing hard tracks with few or no faults then you will be fine with this. All it takes is patience and not rushing through
-Try to hit every Transition slowly. Simply rolling over the edge is best
-Roach or Viper are both fine. Whichever you prefer. Personally went with Viper
Good luck and please feel free to comment. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
It looks easy but it's actually very difficult (and incredibly maddening) to unlock. This I could put on par with "Anger Management" as it is very difficult and requires zero faults. If you find yourself getting too angry or screaming at the TV, or feeling the urge to throw the controller or punch the mattress, just walk away for a while until you're in a better state of mind. Do not attempt this if you're already in a bad mood.
The sides are much harder than they look as the cube rotates. The cube's rotation makes a seamingly easy obstacle actually harder than it looks and if you wait too long, you'll just be plain unable to make it over.
Also, with ONE EXCEPTION, DO NOT go full speed over the edge as the momentum will cause your bike to land at a bad angle or go straight into the 'fire pit' inside the cub, ending your run. I'll explain the exception.
You can use whichever bike you're best at. Personally, I went with the Pit Viper as it's incredibly versatile and like the game explanation says, it 'moves like Mercury'. I attempted this with the Roach but it's weight and size made it much more difficult for me to do bunny hops over gaps or over corners.
That said, the first 29 sides from sides 0 to 29 are reasonably easy.
ORANGE: The first sides from 0-9 are quite easy and as long as you're careful, these are very easy to pass. These could be equivalent to easy tracks on the base game. They are orange in color.
GREEN: The next ten sides are green in color and are slightly harder. One notable side that I had some issues with was side 16. This one is where there's one raised tile and to go over it, you must raise your front wheel until your back wheel hits it. This will cause the front wheel to hook over the tile and your backwheel landing on the tile.
Side 18-19 is where I would use the exception to my rule of going slowly over the edge/transitions. One side 18, you'll go up until you land on a raised tile. From there, land on the lower raised tile but then go full throttle onto side 19, completely skipping the corner/transition. The momentum will land you on the raised tiles on side 19 and then go slowly on every transition from there. This is the only time I'd recommend going full throttle onto the next side.
BLUE: Sides 20-29 are slightly harder and are blue in color. Things get slightly harder here and this is where bunny hops, and the right amount of throttle become more important as well as when to either be in the forward or seated position. If you're a high-skilled rider, even these sides are easy to pass. Some notable sides that gave me trouble were sides 25 and 29. Side 25 involves three raised, tilted tiles. When going over the first gap, land on the second ramp with your rider in the forward position and carefully gas up, go over the second gap and land on the third platform, and with rider in forward position, gently throttle over. This can help with getting good traction. Side 29 is similar but I simply throttled just enough to land on the flat surface between the 'pyramids' and gently throttled over.
RED: Sides 30-39 are colored red is where things get much, much more difficult. All of these last ten sides will cause a great deal of anger, and rage quitting. They actually aren't necessarily all that difficult in and of themselves but getting this far takes time and not screwing up prior to 30. This is where you must either be high-skilled or have a great deal of patience. Each side, due to their difficulty warrants a guide. Mind you, this is just how it worked for me in getting through these tough bastard sides.
Side 30: This part can be difficult as the second raised, tile is tilted towards the right. This risks your rider being 'dumped' into the 'fire pit' if you're not careful. You can go at a high throttle, land on it doing a wheelie and then bounce off the final raised tile. However, I'd recommend a more careful and conservative approach. When you reach side 30, stop and stabilize your bike on the first tile, let the cube rotate just a little but until the second tile is actually horizontal (on the screen!), gently throttle over the first ramp and then stop and stabilize your bike on the second ramp, and then carefully bunny hop onto the third and final ramp and then gently go over the transition/edge.
Side 31: This one is kinda similar to side 18 in that you go on a ramp, and gently bunny hop onto the top tile. From there, carefully land on the next ramp and land on the final tile. Then gently go over to the next side.
Side 32: This one is similar to side 16 except after you succesfully hook your front wheel over the raised tile, stabilize your bike and then gently bunny hop onto the next tile and then gently go over gap and make it to the transition/edge.
Side 33: This one is moderately hard as you go onto a series of two ramps but separated by a gap. Being careful when going over them, then rotate forward so you go over the gap between the uphill and downhill ramps and land on the downward ramps, using the brake very lightly just to slow down near the transition.
Side 34: This one is similar to side 32 except the second raised tile is tilted upward. After hooking front wheel onto the first raised tile, bunny hop over the gap and either land and then grip or if you're skilled enough, bounce off the second ramp and onto the final tile.
Side 35: Oh man. This one is hands down the hardest of all the cubicle sides. I found this much harder to pass than even side 30. What I did was let the cube rotate just a little bit and then managed to hook my front wheel over the first raised tile. Then i repeated this again when going onto the second raised tile, which is higher than the one before it. After that, if the cube hasn't rotated too much, it's reasonably easy as long as you're careful with throttle. Other players may have better methods than the one I explained here.
Side 36: This one has a ramp which is followed by a large cap into the 'fire pit'. Carefully go over the ramp until you land on the raised tile beyond the 'fire pit'. From there, do the same 'front wheel hook' method seen on side 16 and then carefully land on the final tile.
Side 37: This one also caused me trouble as it has two steep ramps but the second ramp has a raised horizontal tile. If you can master side 25, this should be doable as long as the cube doesn't rotate too much.
Side 38: This one, considering how far in the game it is, is incredibly easy as it's basically a combination of sides 21 and 23. The second and penultimate tiles are actually just open gaps that you can bunny hop over.
Side 39: Here it is, the grand finale. This is also not easy, if only in the sense that reaching this one takes getting through a lot of tough bastard obstacles on previous sides. This one has two steep uphill ramps which if you're not careful, risks having your back wheel getting caught and you getting stuck. I learned the hard way twice. First, go slowly and carefully over the first ramp but land BETWEEN the two ramps on the 'normal' tiles. From there, once you start reaching the second ramp, have your rider in a forward position to shoot you forward so your gain traction on the final tile and then it's smooth sailing from here and if you don't bail out or screw up, you can then carefully go over the transition onto side 40. Here, the cube then turns yellow!
Of course, once I reached side 40, I face planted like an idiot! The achievement popped within seconds of me face planting! LOL
Good luck but know when to walk away and try again later.

It will take some time and many tries
If you can pass a Hard (difficult) route, say, for silver, it might work out.
