How to unlock the Inheritor of the Tiger's Blood achievement in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty - Definitive Guide

There are three battles I had the most issues with. The first two were the final boss of "The Most Intimidating Swordplay", and the fight in "When Kunpeng Soars High"

The boss battle in both is against the same character, just different forms (Main mission is a demon form, Side mission is a human form). The boss uses the Water virtue, so ideally you want you build to be Earth/Wood focused. The primary strategy I used was casting Deathly Bog, which nullifies all incoming bow attacks, so you only have to focus on dodging the melee attacks, which come thick and fast. Secondly was casting Imposing Slab, which deals huge damage to the Main story boss (not so much to the side mission boss) as well as a large amount of spirit damage.

The attacks come thick and fast from the boss, so being on point with your dodging is key, but with the two above spells it becomes a lot more manageable.

The final stage I had a challenge with was "The Heavenly Crow Strikes"

Unlike the above two stages, it's not because the boss is cheap or takes a lot to take down, I just really struggled with the timing of the dodges. The boss uses the Fire virtue, so Water does well against them. There will be occasions where they use back-to-back critical attacks, so don't always go for the immediate counter.

As noted in the roadmap, there are a total of ten new battlefields to conquer in this DLC: three main and seven sub. Unlike the previous DLC, no special requirements or items are needed to unlock any of the sub battlefields. Also unlike the previous DLC, there are no ridiculous gauntlets against enemies/bosses to worry about. This DLC focuses more on duels.

Aside from the challenging boss fights, the three main battlefields are pretty straightforward: no sub bosses, and no huge groupings of enemies to fight at once. You will likely also be a higher level than the recommended level for each mission.

For the sub battlefields, the regular ones are easy, like always. The last three are duels, and those will be the hardest ones.

  • The first duel is against Taishi Ci yet again. If you thought the boss fight at the end of the second main battlefield was challenging, this one is tougher. His move set is largely the same, but it's a much longer fight. I literally ran away the entire time, parrying his arrows (which I found pretty easy to do consistently), and setting up rock pillars for him to run into while he chased me. Slow and steady wins the race here, because he will punish you with some ridiculous 15-hit sword combos if you get too close
  • The second duel is against Gan Ning, and can be pretty intense. He is buffed like crazy, and the worst part is that parrying his Critical Blows essentially does nothing to his Spirit Gauge. He does red attacks very often, but parrying them isn't really any help. The most important thing to note for this fight is that, unlike virtually every other duel in the game, you can actually bring NPC Reinforcements to this one. Your only options are Sun Ce and Sun Quan, but I highly recommend doing so, because they make this fight so much more manageable. My strategy was to run until he changed focus to an ally, then wail away on him while he's attacking an ally. This was the only way I was able to fill his Spirit Gauge to stun him. I prioritized reviving allies so he always had at least one distraction
  • The final duel is against Sun Quan, and if you finished the previous two, this one will be an absolute joke. He's a simple human enemy, which means you can stun lock him. If he gets in a red attack, they're incredibly easy to parry, and his Spirit Gauge fills really fast. This fight will pose no problems after the last two
